RE: Show us ya.......... home server setup. - Jayster - 08-07-2014 I am still hosted in Kevins VPS and all still running good. The one I posted is my home desktop and the prob with my Core2Duo is not HyperV ready so I only run 32bits on VM and also haven't tried EXSi coz of the HyperV. Nice setup you have i7 on Linux and i5 on gaming rig. Yeah post your setup, we'd love to see it ![]() EDIT: Are you still on your VPS Panel and Template project? RE: Show us ya.......... home server setup. - ballen - 08-07-2014 Hey JD, I've been pulled in so many directions the last year that I've had to cut back on the number of projects I'm working on lol and having to concentrate on just a few lol.. So now, I'm halted the other projects with a view to concentrate on Sentora and one other project at a time ![]() ...I'll post the photo's up when I'm done ![]() I may even make a module for Sentora II for managing virtual machines, we'll see how it goes - The panel is designed to manage a myriad of various services across multiple servers so this kind of thing should be pretty easy once I've got the main software architecture all sorted out
RE: Show us ya.......... home server setup. - Jayster - 08-08-2014 I can feel that Boss, project here, project there, project everywhere... ![]() I know you have a good rig on Battlefield.. I saw it somewhere, I think on your personal webpage
RE: Show us ya.......... home server setup. - TekniskM - 08-12-2014 Wow, finally someone that wan't to see my home server ![]() Can't tell you how long I have waited for someone to say those words! So, since I work with servers at a daily basis it should come as no surprise that I would want a few at home as well? or... My main setup consist of the following: - UPS 2200Va - ProCurve Gigabit switches - QNAP TS-870 for storage and iSCSI - ProLiant DL370 G6 I do lot's of testing on this equipment, for self learning and to get enough knowledge to be able to take certifications in Microsoft servers. But I also have a few Zpanel-servers and I really look forward to when I can say Sentora-servers ![]() I have of course pay's some money for some of this equipment, but much of this is out of warranty equipment that the owner did not longer wanted. So a few parts there and some shopping on eBay and voila e great "little" server rack ![]() So, I had around 100 pictures that I was planning of posting here, but i figured I should try to control my selves and make a little one that shows of the most important details. and here it is: ![]() Cool if anyone want's to comment.
