Haha and you still call that home ? I see that you rely on network wiring everywhere. Not easy to setup and if I do that @home be sure my wife will go nuts.

Still I found a closet where I could pile up a rack and hide it from my wife Big Grin but shhh don't tell here over my plans ;-).

Here is my homeserver setup:

Its a Dell 2950 with 2 Intel 5320  processors and 12 Gb ram
A Procurve managed switch
A Eaton 5xp UPS

and the hidous thing above the Eaton is a Siemens Hipath 3500 for playing only

I use this setup only for developend of websites Web Improved makes and the comany website.

Sooo... 

My main setup consist of the following:
- UPS 2200Va
- ProCurve Gigabit switches
- QNAP TS-870 for storage and iSCSI
- ProLiant DL370 G6

Proliant? That's cool! I have an older HP PROLIANT DL380 G2 blade server collecting dust. I never got around to expand it. Got it for free as a bare bones server. (Came with minimal ram, and HDDs) Wish I had some extra money to dump into it and max it out. Would be nice having dual power supplies, dual ethernet, etc, Smile

you can get a lot of such stuff for a hundred bucks on ebay. Refurb servers are so cheap. Running them & BW is the costly part.
