You can donate to the project. You can also help in testing, bug tracking, coding, designing a theme. There is a lot of scopes where you can help.

If anything Coding is where I really want to contribute as well as some non coding ideas that I have in the sense of sentora setting up an IRC channel and much more.

IRC channel don't know if usefull here as most community try to gather here.
For coding you can either commit fixes/features thru github or code 3rd party modules to enhance the panel.
