That Ubunut tutorial on centos you need mainly to change PHP path for the lib.

CentOS Ioncube Installation Guide:
32bit version: http://dossierbox.cu.cc/install-guide-ioncube-zend-gaurd-loader-mod_perl-for-centos-6-2-i686-32-bit/2012/16/12/22/
64bit version: Use this link http://downloads3.ioncube.com/loader_downloads/ioncube_loaders_lin_x86-64.tar.gz
and follow the guide.
I am using this on ZPanel and new version of Sentora.
