www good, no www bad. - duckduckuk - 11-09-2018 Hey all, Just moved here from VestaCP and I love it. Thank you to all involved in Sentora. I do have an issue though (sorry). I cant seem to access my sites without the www prefix. So far I'm keeping it pretty simple with http (no ssl). I have generated the DNS records using Sentora's own auto generator but still nothing. Also, when I try to create a mailbox it says the domain isn't valid (related?). I have found a few items on this forum regarding the mail issue but nothing regarding the www/http thingy. Any help is appreciated - debian8 installed using this ... https://linuxhostsupport.com/blog/how-to-install-sentora-on-debian-8/ Thanks Thanks, RE: www good, no www bad. - fearworks - 11-09-2018 (11-09-2018, 01:51 AM)duckduckuk Wrote: Hey all, Just moved here from VestaCP and I love it. Thank you to all involved in Sentora. Give us a domain so we have a clue - could be more than one thing. PM it to me if you don't want to make it public and then I'll continue to respond on this thread. Hi Keith, thank you. the domain is duckduck.co.uk / www.duckduck.co.uk - I'm comfortable it being known. It worked out of the box with Vesta so I am guessing my setting are OK with my domain registrar. Thank you. RE: www good, no www bad. - fearworks - 11-09-2018 I'm guessing that you've got this sorted now? When I try both http://www.duckduck.co.uk/ and http://duckduck.co.uk/, I get a "Your hosting space is ready..." page - is that what should be there, or should there be some content? RE: www good, no www bad. - republicus - 11-11-2018 I have the same results: sentora landing page at both addresses Code: www.duckduck.co.uk;
duckduck.co.ukRE: www good, no www bad. - duckduckuk - 11-12-2018 Hey all, Thank you for looking at this for me. I have just got back from a break and now have this sorted. I followed the LetsEncrypt instructions incorrectly somehow a config file got borked and tied in with a https:// redirect thing going on with my Firefox browser. I am going to rebuild my server and start again to remove any creases I may have ironed in when trying to resolve. If it happens again, I will re-resolve and add how I did it to this post in case it happens to anyone else. Best wishes and many thanks, Shaun |
