Email MTA failed - skpacman - 02-18-2015

No idea why but I can't send/receive emails. MXToolbox says the ports are open but I don't get any mail in or out.

Where do I go from here?

I'm making a backup of all of my sites and MySQL databases, just in case I have to blow it all away and start over...

First contact your ISP to check if port 25 is open for SENDING.

Did you check your MX are correctly setup?

service postfix status ?

You need to provide more infos if you expect help.

Port 25 is open. I'm running Sentora from a VPS on the Linode network.
My MX is set up correctly and I don't see any problem with postfix.
I ran into another crippling error (not related to sentora) so I'm just going to blow it away and rebuild the vps. If I run into the same problem again, I'll let you know.

RE: Email MTA failed - Me.B - 02-18-2015

ok radical solution.... Did you install any extra packages there? Like amavis or such?

RE: Email MTA failed - skpacman - 02-18-2015

I had tried replacing the default MTA with Citadel but deleted it and reverted back to the Sentora defaults. It worked for a few days after I reverted but then just stopped. At first it wouldn't let me log in from my mobile's email client then it stopped sending from my sites, then just stopped altogether.

so you took definitely the citadel ride despite I warned you it won't work... Well you broke it.

You can't blame sentora over this.

I wasn't blaming Sentora for anything. I was wondering where I should look to solve the problem.

I did a fresh install and re-uploaded my sites. This issue can be closed.
