Sentora vs Vesta - floriantraun - 07-22-2015

Hi,

I can't decide between Sentora and Vesta. I need individual-Domain SSL support, SSL support for the mailserver, multiple mail accounts & aliases, domain-aliases (for either mail and webserver) and the possibility that customers can log in and manage their own mail & domain (which isn't that important).

Has anyone got experience with those 2 CP?

Thanks! Smile
Flo

I love everything about Vesta. I would completely recommend it over Sentora (sorry guys)
The only thing I do not like about it is that it uses soft disk/bandwidth limits, and it is because of that that I'm currently experimenting with Sentora and other free web panels.

Thanks! What do you mean by "it uses soft disk/bandwidth limits"? I also already testet about 5-6 different open source panels. I couldn't decide between vesta, sentora and centos webpanel. Currently I am sticking to vesta (I am also sorry Wink...), couse it got all the features I need.

Sentora is also pretty good but it still needs to be improved. Keep up the good work guys!

If you find a new, better panel, please comment it under that post! Smile

Thanks

Sentora looks very good, but many many people told me that VestaCP is better by far.
I'll give a try to Ajenti panel, and I'll use VestaCP if I don't miss something while setting up websites and services.

There are a lot of webpanel, but few of them are really cool.
Sentora looks promising but no money to fund :C

i just migrated over from vesta, tbh, as buying a vps and then reselling the space/resources with website built for clients both do the job, though i did not dab much with vesta, as i have with sentora, both have similar cons, but vesta is more responsive and secure, support is fast and the panel is well documented. unlike here for a noob, i am still trying to get the hang, i used vesta for 1 month, now i am close to 2 on sentora and still trying to get the hang of it.

just encountered a major issue for me on sentora now... and if i have to reinstall, i'll be going back to vesta sadly, haven't tried other panels for ubuntu yet.

Sentora is good.
I am looking for the simple SSL function (type cert, private key and ia in the panel boxes to enable SSL)
instead of Override a Virtual Host Setting in Module Admin/Apache Config

For SSL check how to guides... I don't like the override one.
