Any help with nameservers? - NikoCodey - 11-21-2015 Hello. I am quite new to this hosting stuff, and i'm trying to make web hosting for my friends and family on a VPS, everything installed OK and successful. But, my question is, how can people do nameservers for like ns1.mydomain.pw or ns2.hosting24.pw, this is what i do not understand, i have done this via Cloudflare as nameserver configuration http://prntscr.com/950fet and it doesn't seem to work. Please help
RE: Any help with nameservers? - Me.B - 12-02-2015 If you are new to hosting you need to understand you still can use your registrar DNS. Don't bother setting up the dns on sentora. Or you can use cloudflare. Then focus on creating websites only on sentora. I to have a vps there, and believe it or not; Linode Guides <- amazing wealth of information about just everything that's been hosted at linode. Registrar <- These people usually have guides and information that people like you (and one point me) needed to get started. With that said, I know there's a Search button on the forums, but my advice about anything is start at the root. So if your having a vps problem, check the guides with linode as they're informative and show you how it's done. If your having DNS issues, I'd check with my registrar first, they've handled tons of dns cases over the years and might know a thing or two. And lastly, 90% of the problems I find I have, are cause I messed up. Yep, me, I mess it all up, all the time .And to those of the trolling community, yes, even you were a noob once upon a time.....when the dinosaurs ruled the earth. |
