How to configure dns record to gain access on android email app

All DNS setting are default.
I only added an A record of imap point to my vps IP.

Port 143 is open.

web mail is working properly.
I am not able to set up mail client on my android phone.
The setting are
imap server:imap.mydomin.com
port:143
Security type:None
username:email@mydomain.com
password: emailpassword

im not sure but i think it is not necessary to have a A record for your IMAP
Try to delete this and try to connect on the regular way

Correct, you could use just domain.com instead of imap.domain.com
mail.domain.com should also work for imap since it uses different port than smtp and pop3.

What about the next step?
On the phone, it asks for smtp.
I have the setting
smtp servermtp.mydomin.com
port:587
Security type:None
username:email[at]mydomain.com
password: emailpassword
The port 587 is open.
It said the server does not support the authentication methods.
