I'm sorry I did not recommend the backups, that is something you should always do, even if not updating.
Regarding your apache error, should be easy.
Just create the httpd.conf file:
touch /etc/apache2/httpd.conf

I did a backup on my website, but i forgot to do it in sentora..

ALWAYS DO A BACKUP! Btw, is it possible to make a backup with cron every night and then automatic upload it to dropbox?
I have a dropbox account i´dont use so much and i have 50 GB free space..
