RE: vHost file auto changed after a period ???
Hi buddy

Today, suddenly I get this error

Quote:Critical Error: [0100] - Unable to connect or authenticate to the Sentora database (sentora_core).

Google it, I find this topic
Critical Error: [0100] - Unable to connect or authenticate to the Sentora database (sentora_core)

Then it leads to this topic
panel down and cannot connect

And I can not check MySQL with commands in Critical Error: [0100] - Unable to connect or authenticate to the Sentora database (sentora_core); they give errors "No such file or directory". And basically, all solutions in these above topics can not solve mine, so I try to restart server then everything is okay.

My question here: the custom VHost setting may give this error? Or may tell me why this error occurs? Because I didn't touch any config in server / sentora panel from my last post above

Many thanks

First, its always better to start a new topic than to continue an old topic Wink

If you didn't change anything, the first thing that comes to mind is make sure you have enough disk space. Your logs may be getting to large and eating it up. Some can be cleared out (/var/sentora/logs/sentora*.log) There are more, you can check the /var/sentora/logs/domains/[domainname]/ and see if any sites are creating too many errors (and fix them) so the error logs stay small.

I don't see how a vhost entry has anything to do with the database, so that shouldn't be the problem.

thank you so much, these log files are really big but disk space is still okay, so I think disk space is not problem

I also can not see any log of MySQL in these 2 dirs?

And may you guide me how to turn off (disable) access & bandwidth logs for both sites & sentora?

Thanks

I just delete these files manually, sentora shall auto create them?

Currently there is no simple way of removing them. And, you really should not remove them since Sentora uses them for account control like disabling accounts for exceeded bandwidth and access logs are good to see if your site is being compromised or attacked. You may want to look into logrotate to help keep them smaller.

yes, thank you, but I use VPS for my sites only

And these files auto created by sentora after deleted? or they'll be deleted permanently?

If deleted, they should be recreated. I usually just open them up and remove the older contents and resave.
