How to configure mail client to sentora on ubuntu 14.04

Hello guys,

I have installed Sentora on a clean (git, ruby, and nodejs already installed) ubuntu 14.04 x64 vps on digitalocean.

My problem is that I have configured my dns and created a mailbox successfully which is works fine from webmail, but I can't configure thunderbird to use that mailbox.

I have found the 'how to' section which says:
- SMTP listening on port 25
- IMAP listening on port 143

But still could not connect to my mailbox.

If anyone having a 'non hacking' solution for this please tell me.

I have the same issue.

1. check firewall

2. check services are running.

3. check ports are responding.

4. what settings are you trying to use.

This had been tested and should work out of the box. likely you have issues in thunderbird setup.

Try to use your server IP instead of the domain.

I have the same issue,
using outlook 2013
fails when sending a test email

issue: My isp is blocking outbound port 25 connections.
added new port to master.cf and works now.

In your pop3 use mail.yourdomain port 110


Open /etc/postfix/master.cf and add the following line:

than config in your outlook smtp.yourdomain port 587 security none
