I had to upgrade to 16.04 to get plex server working after I upgraded it. After the upgrade i have to start apache2 manually and I lost webmail , but all else seems to be working. Will update if I can figure out how to get apache2 to start at reboot. I can log into panel local ip, have to do more testing

You need to upgrade roundcube to latest version for php7 support.

Again ubuntu 16.04 may work but SHOULD NEVER USED in production as files run in insecure mode.

I have an Idea but it requires some changes to the project:

You can run multiple PHP versions and perhaps use PHP 5.X for Sentora Control Panel and this allows clients to run PHP 5.X or PHP 7 their choice for each separate website, it has a lighter footprint than Apache and is very durable. 

Support Apache like Rewrites too

No I mean I understand you need Suhoshin for Sentora (right?) and this is only offered in PHP 5.X releases and not for PHP 7 this is why I had that idea because Sentora can utilize the PHP 5.X while customers chose what they want.

Suhosin is also used for client hosting spaces. If it is not there, then there is still a vulnerability hole.
