How to Create Sentora Panel Subdomain for the installation?
Hi Guys,

I am new to Sentora, I am using Google Cloud Engine with CentOS6 I don't know how to setup subdomain for the sentora installation and for sentora panel.

I am getting this warning message  while installing "WARNING: panel.mydomain.tk is not defined in your DNS!" but I already set this subdomain in GoogleCloud engine, like this step:

1. I have installed CentOS6 on Google Cloud Engine
2. And  mydomain.tk registered at freenom.com
3. On Google cloud engine -> Networking-> Cloud DNS: created DNS entries for the instance IP and domain like this:
Code:
mydomain.tk    A    300    xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx mydomain.tk    NS    21600   ns-cloud-c1.googledomains.com                              ns-cloud-c2.googledomains.com                              ns-cloud-c3.googledomains.com                              ns-cloud-c4.googledomains.com mydomain.tk    SOA    21600  ns-cloud-c1.googledomains.com. cloud-dns-hostmaster.google.com. 1 21600 3600 259 ftp.mydomain.tk    CNAME    300    mydomain.tk mail.mydomain.tk    CNAME    300    mydomain.tk panel.mydomain.tk    CNAME    300    xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx www.mydomain.tk    CNAME    300    mydomain.tk

4. My domain nameserver changed from Freenom according to google....

What I missed here? I already set panel.mydomain.tk for sub-domain. or I need to do anything additional, please assist me on this I am middle of the installation.

Thanks!

You do not need to use their DNS. Since this is your main domain, you can set up the .tk using this tutorial: http://docs.sentora.org/?node=95

Then use Sentora's DNS to control everything else.

All add-on domains will now use your nameservers as specified in the above tutorial.

I think it is more complicated (and impractical) to use the .tk DNS to point to your Google DNS then to Sentora's DNS.

Hi Tgates,

I understand that you suggested, skip google DNS and link directly between domain registrar and Sentosa.

I tried to enter like you suggested DNS entries into my domain registrars but its showing errors, I tried with Freenom and Big Rock errors are like this:

Freenom [b][u]domain registrar error:[/u][/b]
*         xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx     1 Hour     Error occured: Invalid value in dnsrecord
@       xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx     1 Hour     Error occured: Invalid value in dnsrecord
panel         @     1 Hour     Error occured: Invalid value in dnsrecord
ftp         @     1 Hour     Error occured: Invalid value in dnsrecord

BigRock domain registrar error:
panel         @     1 Hour     Please provide a valid fqdn.
ftp         @     1 Hour     Please provide a valid fqdn.

any other options?

Thanks for your valuable time!

Just to make sure, you changed xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to your servers IP right? LOL

Give this a try in Freenom (Target is your server's IP):

Shy Yes I am already using my server IP, the problem with '*' and '@' not allowing these characters.

Hi Tgates,

It's worked  Shy  thanks for your help, I successfully installed Sentora on GCE.
But I noticed few things not working as I expected, I created a subdomain with sentora panel but its not working, the corresponding subdomain directory successfully created but when I visit the subdomain its showing "This site can’t be reached" look like some permission or connection issue, you familiar with this? or any suggestions? is anywhere I can see the logs for errors?

Thanks Again !
