New installation script and prefered Ubuntu Version?

Hey guys good to see you all over here. I'm about to be spinning up a new server soon but I am waiting for the installation scripts to be released. In the meantime, is there a preferred Ubuntu version? 12.xx or 14.xx?

Also is there any kind of time estimate for when the installation scripts might be released? A week, 2 months, etc..?

14.04 is the preferred, 12.04 has reached EOL.

I have no idea on a time, @{Me.B] had some ideas but has been extremely busy.
