Upgrade Installation Failed

Hi.

I'm trying to install Sentora-1_0_3_b1.exe into my Sentora server so I can upgrade my current version but it's giving the following error:

How to update Apache to 2.4.x

Greats to you all!

In the beginning of 2017 if have updated my zpanel (running 2012 server std) to 10.1.1 and then used

Now i have a problem with security on my server, seems that because of old Apache or myphpadmin.
That problem allows hacker to create user on my server...

When I close Apache port on Windows firewall - problem disappears
Should I update my Apache and PHPmyAdmin? How to localize a problem? How to Update Apache?

Same problem. I have 1 more problem that is Service uses Sentora to manage, today in nature do not see the domain, database, source code is not. (running 30 websites on the service).
The website is still working normally, but in the file manager, there is no source code at all. Do not know what else, now need to edit. Can you help me? Thanks a lot.

Absolute newbie question about mx records

First of all, thank you so much for this wonderful, free software!

This is my first time trying to run my own website on my own PC. I have a dynamic IP address, so use DynDNS's nameservers to connect to the website. That's another story, but I'm getting there, slowly!

The problem I'm having is that I can't send or receive eMails to my domain mailboxes and I'm not sure what to add in the MX records, either within Sentora or DynDNS. I've tried mail.mydomain.com, but nothing is received at all within the mailbox, but the address set up within the server config receives all eMails sent to the server.

I'm hoping, at some point, to host all of my own websites, and with some research it appears I'd be better off having a static IP address, but this is not possible at this time. Could that be the problem?

I have a hmailserver on my server atm. I have been using hmailserver for 8 years. On my server I have 171 domain accounts. I recently added a new domain and it will not receive emails. All other domains can send and receive. I do a diagnostic run in the hmailserver admin and I see all greens but the local connection.

If I run for any other domain on my server I get all greens.

All my settings on Godaddy are identical except for the MX records (of course). I check my domain on whatsmydns.net and it comes back connected and see my MX records. I can't seem to nail this down can anyone lend me their brain? Thanks.

I have been using zPanel and then Sentora on Centos 6.x for quite some time and found it to be the BEST open source panel for the "IX" platform - period.

Over the years I have been using Website Panel (now SolidCP) on Windows, but it is a "busy install" but works extremely well. Costs for certain "add-ons" makes it expensive (not to mention how vulnerable Windows and IIS are); so I was delighted to see Sentora for Windows.

Bottom Line: It installs without issue on Windows 2008R2 and Windows 2012RD (x64). Just make sure that you DO NOT have IIS, DNS, anything installed with Platform Installer and even IISadmin running. Cripple them or remove them altogether.

After browsing this forum, I saw many posts regarding sending/receiving email and form posts (contact forms etc) as well as other issues.

So, I thought I'd pass along a few comments that may help others:

1) hMail server (which I have been using since v4.x) works and works properly if you follow the hMail Server Install guides. Since this product is installed with Windows Sentora, the only issue you should face is configuring the program itself. Use the hMail guides, they are excellent and will resolve 99.999% of issues,
2) For hMail server to function properly, you may have set the BIND address to 127.0.0.1 - do not leave it blank,
3) hMail server needs to have the proper settings set for Incoming and Outgoing mail (web to internal, internal to web etc),
4) Sendmail caused me a few issues with sending mail using a php mailer test script. The script is fine as I use it on "IX" boxes, so this told me it was a Window's Issue. SURE ENOUGH it was the Long File Name that I used in the sendmail.ini file. DON'T use an LFN (ex: c:\program files(x86)\php\sendmail), use either "c:\sendmail" or the 8.3 filename - VOILA - it will work,
5) As I have Static addresses, I had to turn off the Auto IP feature - no big deal here either.

Other than many of the videos being in Russian, watch them anyway. Visually you will get a clue as to what is to be done.

For those that are asking about Windows 10 - it does actually install and work so long as you install the required VC++ libraries and TURN of UAC.

But of course, Windows 10 (as is 7) is a DESKTOP environment, it is not designed for use as a "Real" production server.

Really, think about it...

In my opinion, Windows Sentora is extremely well done and for me worked right out of the box on 3 installs. Each of these servers are in Production on the web and each build took me no more than 8 hours each - in total including locking down folders, creating virtual directories etc.

I applaud Mark on the excellent work!!!!

Hello Sentora buddies,

After installing Sentora for windows on my windows 10 Pro, set up Package, Domain, DNS, Database, Database User in phpMyAdmin, privilege to the database. But when I tried to view the page on the web browser, I ran into the following error, which I have copied and pasted here below! Could some one please help me with a direction to what I should do in order to fix the issue? Thanks in advance.

Hello there,

It's been a long time and Mark disappeared completely, together with it's AWServer at http://awserver.tk . Are you still here?

In the next month I will reinstall my server the reason why I would like to ask you what is better, regarding security issues:

To install AWServer or Sentora for Windows v1.0

I also would like to mention that although I still using an older ZPanel version, I never had hacking problems with it (I guess and I hope).

Seperate PHP error logs per domain,

Hello,

At present my server does not display errors but logs them to the
error_log = "C:/zpanel/logs/php/php_errors.log" which i believe is default,
But all domain errors go onto the same log,

I wish to separate them per domain,
I tried to do via .htaccess but it throws 500 errors and kills the site,

It does work if i manually add a line into the httpd-vhosts.conf
php_value error_log "C:/zpanel/logs/php/_php.error.log"

But ofcorse this will be overwritten,

My question, is there a better way, or is it possible to have sentora write this line to conf when it generates the vhosts conf?

All files are fine to stay in the same directory, I am the only person who uses my server for multiple domains, and no one else,
