Hmailserver
I have a hmailserver on my server atm. I have been using hmailserver for 8 years. On my server I have 171 domain accounts. I recently added a new domain and it will not receive emails. All other domains can send and receive. I do a diagnostic run in the hmailserver admin and I see all greens but the local connection.

Test: Collect server details
hMailServer version: hMailServer 5.3.3-B1879
Database type: MySQL

Test: Test IPv6
IPv6 support is available in operating system.

Test: Test outbound port
SMTP relayer not in use. Attempting mail.hmailserver.com:25
Trying to connect to host mail.hmailserver.com...
Trying to connect to TCP/IP address *.***.**.** on port 25.
Connected successfully.

Test: Test MX records
Trying to resolve MX records for ******.energy...
Host name found: mail.******k.energy
Host name found: mail.******.energy

Test: Test local connect
Connecting to TCP/IP address in MX records for local domain domain wastek.energy...
Trying to connect to host mail.******.energy...
ERROR: The host name mail.******.energy could not be resolved.
Trying to connect to host mail.******.energy...
ERROR: The host name mail.******.energy could not be resolved.
ERROR: Was not able to open connection.

If I run for any other domain on my server I get all greens.

All my settings on Godaddy are identical except for the MX records (of course). I check my domain on whatsmydns.net and it comes back connected and see my MX records. I can't seem to nail this down can anyone lend me their brain? Thanks.

RE: Hmailserver
You talk about hmailserver while server in your profile Centos. If it's over windows you are in the wrong section here.

Why thanks for your insight. You would also notice I am new to this forum. So maybe point me in the right direction? I run my mail on a separate machine from my hosting. I just came here for extra eyes to maybe see a problem I do not. First timer looking for a hand thanks.

It's been so long since I used a Windows install of Sentora/hmailserver I can no longer remember how it all even works Sad

Good luck Cool

I'll keep reading this post to see if something 'pops' in my head so I can give you some sort of direction...

Error says that you have DNS problem. It seems that A record maybe missing in dns settings of its domain provider. It is not related with Sentora or hmailserver.

You should check dns and mx settings from https://mxtoolbox.com/ or https://www.dnsqueries.com/en/mx-lookup.php
