Deadlock situation with DNS Error 'hostname must be unique'
For domain in Sentora I added:
MX
HOSTNAME: @
TARGET: zeus.domain.com

SPF
HOSTNAME: zeus
TARGER: v=spf1 a ~all

The error output is:
zone domain.com/IN: domain.com/MX 'zeus.domain.com' has no address records (A or AAAA) zone domain.com/IN: 'zeus.domain.com' found SPF/SPF record but no SPF/TXT record found, add matching type TXT record zone domain.com/IN: loaded serial 2015022528 OK

Then adding TXT:
HOSTNAME: zeus
TAGERT: IP_of_zeus

Im getting:
ERROR DNS NOT SAVED
Hostnames must be unique.

Same thing when adding A record for zeus

Code:
'zeus.domain.com' has no address records (A or AAAA) zone
tells you there are no A or AAAA records... are there actually A records for domain.com on this same DNS page?

I added 'domain.com' then I added A record of ZEUS, then I couldn't add SPF nor TXT because it said "ERROR DNS NOT SAVED
Hostnames must be unique.'
So I remove A record of zeus, and was thinking that adding SPF/TXT via Sentora DNS Manager will add A record auto-magicly, sadly it didnt.

Now the GUI prevent me from adding A or TXT record about hostname: zeus

Edit: So I end up adding "A" record for zeus, because I wouldn't access server without that. And will wait for solution for SPF record

I end up with adding those record via db:
sentora_core.x_dns
This bypass the "must be unique" error.
Its my shot: but script is checking for same name ignoring the dn_deleted_ts or when trying to add TXT/SPF it ignore the "dn_type_vc" so he found "A" record.

Just curious, the zeus subdomain is not your panel login right?

No its not my login.

I remove all of zeus records, Added SPF record via GUI and added missing RECORDS : TXT and A via mariaDB. This way i bypass the conflict name error and they showed up in GUI.

So, you have this working now? Have you tried it with a different domain to make sure it works?

I tried it with dig tools to veryfited that my changes are visable via dig.
That why I know adding PTR record the same way dont work, and those made in this topic work fine.

Do we need reinstall from clean CentOS or can we just update/fix script it ?
